What’s Next Scope “ovoveil®”

“What’s Next Scope” introduces innovative materials and case studies from startup companies and others engaged in new product development and business creation. This edition will highlight ovoveil, a new fibre developed from eggshell membrane by Farmers Co., Ltd. The material, derived from repurposed eggshell membranes that would otherwise be discarded in large quantities, has been recognised as a sustainable fibre that contributes to CO₂ reduction and was showcased at the Healthcare Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, under the theme “a fibre gentle to both people and the planet.” Ovoveil has also drawn significant attention in the fashion world, as designer Masayuki Ino featured it in his label doublet’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, unveiled at Paris Men’s Fashion Week. At TTS, ovoveil will be presented alongside doublet’s products, offering a closer look at this groundbreaking material.
